In the first round of the UEFA Champions League group stage, Kane’s passing and shooting success finally helped Bayern beat Manchester United 4-3 at home. After the match, Kane was interviewed by TNT Sports.

Kane said, “Crazy ending. For most of the game, we controlled the game and dictated the tempo. We just went off the boil a little bit in the last five minutes, but thankfully we kept the lead throughout.”

“It felt good to score, but I know I have room for improvement. As a striker, I know I’ll get shots on goal. It’s exciting to play with new teammates and we’re still getting to know each other. I’m excited about what’s going to happen. When you have a high transfer fee, it’s natural for people to expect a lot from you and you have to repay the club’s faith in you with tangible action.”

“Manchester United are going through a tough time with injuries. They have a lot of talented players in their squad and you could see that in the last five minutes. Overall, I’m not too worried about them, I’m more focused on myself.”

After joining from Tottenham Hotspur for €100 million this summer, Kane has made six appearances in all competitions for Bayern this season, contributing five goals and two assists.
